Barbara Hulanicki @Topshop

I am addicted to online shopping. And my new found (if not slightly worrying) shopping addiction has been fuelled by the eagerly awaited Barbara Hulanicki Collection, which arrived at Topshop yesterday. Like any modern day fashionista I skipped the catty store sprawl and logged in to preview the collection online (not quite at the early morning launchtime of 7am by which a fellow twitterer had already spent £100!). On first impressions I was a little disappointed, expecting to see Biba-esque 60’s styles (she launched the iconic fashion store in 1964 for those of you not in the know) but I had soon fallen in love with the (now sold out) vintage feel Coral Shoulder Pad mini dress and the girly Queen Bee Corset Top. And by today I had succumb, in true fashion victim style to the Bee Print Playsuit. This seasons must have item in pale lilac (just my colour) in a flirty vintage shape with kitsch illustration print, what’s not to love? My only disappointment is that I missed out on the free postage offered yesterday. Have heard it comes in a super cute bag though…Hello Mr postman….

  1. Nice print and just in time for summer

  2. 2 nene

As this little gem of a blog was brought to my attention this morning, by my very good fashion following friend. I couldn’t resist flying by my nearest Topshop branch and found myself in the fitting room trying on a rather shapely Barbara Hulanicki tube dress with a lush vague animal-ish print in lush light blue and pink spring colours. Just need to top up the tan to really set the look off. :-)
