Festival Fashion

Unbelievably Glastonbury is less than a month away! and being the typical fashion conscious girl I have already started planning my festival wardrobe. I’m dreaming it will mainly consist of  pretty floral dresses and vintage sunnies, but Glastonburys track record of unpredictable weather has been well publicised so I will be packing for all conditions. Here is my list of top festival essentials:

Wellies:  It will probably rain. It may be muddy, and this could be knee-deep. A knee-length pair is must.
Long socks: Wellies rub, especially with bare legs. And your friends will not forgive you if you limp around with sores and moan through their favourite bands!
Denim shorts: These looks super cute with bare legs or layered over tights.
Sunnies: Not your expensive designer ones, you will sit on/break/ lose them. Get a few cheap market pairs and some attention-seeking raving ones.
Pretty scarves: These can double up as a headscarf to hide greasy hair or be worn as a belt.
Hoodie and leggings: Perfect for layering, early morning loo queues and sleeping in when it gets cold.
Baggy Tee: Great for covering up sore sunburnt shoulders.
Rain Poncho: These may not be festival chic but you’ll be  so grateful you packed it when it pours down!
Floral dress: Patterns and prints not only look fab but are super practical as they don’t show marks.
Checked or Military shirt: Easy cool. Wear with a belt and the sleeves rolled-up.
Tan bag: This needs to close securely and fit camera, beer can & other essentials.
Straw trilby: Looks super cool, hides greasy hair and protects you from the sun!
Finally, please leave these at home!
High heels. Really
Anything white. Beer spills, grass stains, mud. Not cool.
Fur coat: Will take up all the space in your rucksack. And when will you wear it? certainly not in the sweaty mosh pit!
The Chanel Bag your rich great Aunt bought you. It will get probably get nicked and be up on eBay before you are out of the car park queue.
